Chris and I met at 10 AM. She texted me to meet an hour later, unfortunately I got the message after I got up at 8 AM. And you know what, she overslept! When I turned up at hers 10:10 AM she hadn't even gotten up! BTW, it was her idea to meet at 9 AM, I didn't want to get up this early, but she insisted... Well thanks my friend.
Anyway, it was really hard to even walk in this fresh snow. We saw some runners, I don't have a clue how they managed to run and remain upright. A lot of nordic skiers were out, too.

When I got home I was deep frosted. ;-) I cooked my french leek soup, emphasis on my, it isn't really french. After that I got into the hot bath tub to defrost and dozed the whole afternoon, I didn't have any energy left to even read.

It's no wonder, I didn't work out and I ate wrong, that's my receipt.
Except for the swimming on Saturday, last week was off. BTW, I NEVER was a good swimmer. There was a gradesystem for it in GDR, grade 3 was highest for normal (non-competition) swimmers, I only made it to grade 2 because I was too slow. Again. And again, it never occured to me, that I could train to become better and faster! Okay, I was eleven back then, but still...
Anyway, that's the past. I'm starting out new now.
Keep Running.
Recovery weeks will do the body good. This week is new, go out and kick some tale in your training.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to defrost! Keep on working it.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work! Can you imagine how much faster you'll be able to run when it's not snowy and icy out? :)
