One Week since my last run, what a shame....

Morning,

well, like you know from the title, I haven't been running for a week. The reason? I've got no idea.

Anyway, I've changed several other things about me in this week. First thing, I'm blonde now and my hair is even shorter than it was before. So far I got only positive feedback. Guess I'll stick with it for a while.

My music taste changed even more. I can hear slow music only before bed now. While it was just weeks ago all day. Weird. Right at this moment I listen to Lily Allen. I love her lyrics.

When it comes to nutrition, I've decided to go back to the Paleo Diet (in fact it's more a lifestyle not a diet in the sense that I want to lose weight). Last november I've tried it and the results were amazing. Clear and smooth skin, since I've struggled with dermatitis all my life this is the main advantage of Paleo eating. Next thing is that I actually lost weight, which is also something that I struggle with as you know. It's also known to reduce allergies, but I didn't stick with Paleo long enough to experience it. Hopefully I will now. You want to know more about the reasons for Paleo food then have a look at the "Paleo in a Nutshell"-video on youtube. (No, I didn't make it.) Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCFZoqmKf5M
I might even start out with Crossfit, if there is a studio where I will live next and that is besides Lindy Hop and Triathlon training. Yeah, life is looking bright!

Finally, one stat I've got for you:
lung function - peak flow: 420

Eat well, live well.

Swing is even better than Rock for running!

Good morning.

I'm just back from my run. I ran with swing, since I've got swing-fever. ;-) And I really enjoyed it this way. The rhythm is better suited for running and the lyrics are funny, so instead of going ever faster to get it over with(no, I don't really enjoy the runs at the moment) I like to hear the stories. It's fun this way.

Anyway, here are todays stats:
running time: 11:30 min (the route was about 400 m longer)
in zone: 6:17 min (much better than monday)
ave heartrate: 162 bpm (needs no comment)

I did have some pain in my left shoulder, which means I have to move it more often and drink some magnesium. Other than that, no problems so far and no sore leg muscles.

Have fun.

Finally!

I found my dance. Lindy Hop! It's so cool. At the end of next week, I'll move. So in November I will start out taking dancing lessons in Lindy Hop. It will be my crosstraining. No more boring gym!

Have a look at this: Fast Swing Dancing I absolutely adore them.

And iTunes probably me. I didn't want to buy anything this week and it's already 3 swing longplayers! Favourite so far: The Atomic Fireballs "Torch this place".

No stats today, since I take a break to give my body time to recover. Tomorrow it's back to running. But I'll dance a bit around my room.

Have fun!

Post No. 20

Good Morning. Like I promised the next post and tada it's no. 20.

Anyway, here are todays stats so far (long version):

Sleep: a mess
Weight: 65 kg (I've lost 100 g, ain't that fantastic?)
Water: 50,1 %
Body-Fat: 31,4 % (That's bad, I know.)
Muscles: 34,2 % (Not enough, especially in the winter.)

Running time: 9:19 min (it's a start)
In zone: 1:29 min (ouch)
Ave heartrate: 165 bpm (too high for me)

We finally have good weather again, after a weekend full of rain and even sleet. But it's getting colder, we've had the first frost this morning. All the trees are shedding their leaves, it looks beautiful.

It felt good to run again and like always I see myself running a marathon in 4 weeks time. XD

But this is not going to happen any time soon, since I first have to get my endurance back. Means I have to get back to the magical 30 and then 60 minutes of running, and since this is going to take a bit of time. . .

After this it's speed, I'm too slow if you ask me. I want to run a half marathon in 2, max 2:30 hours. (Last year I ran 2:58 h in Freiburg i. Br., Germany.)

So, I will probably run a half marathon in the spring of 2010 and the whole marathon later that year, maybe in Athens. It isn't decided yet, but since I need goals....

Okay, have to get some paper sorted and trashed. There is still too much flying around here. Yikes.

Do your exercises!

Back on track? We'll see.

Okay, since it's been a while let's start with my stats:

Weight: 65,1 kg
Training today: 10 squats and some serious decluttering (Who dumped all his paper in my room?!)

Yeah, I know what you think, I didn't do too well these last few weeks. The last two kilos I've gained (within 2 days, go figure), are due to a change in medication (less Thyroxin? Bad decision. ). Now I have even more fat to burn, isn't it fantastic?! Thanks so much doc.

Whatsoever, I took some reading to heart and I'm starting over again. I've set myself some interesting and encouraging goals, which I will share with you as soon as I've reached them. New approach, since the old one didn't work.

Found some nice "running" music: Allister "Last stop suburbia"
Punk runs, I mean, rocks!

See ya tomorrow with more news on my way back to the triathlon/marathon track.
