My secret to weight loss is

sleep and magnesium. I just realized it again today.

Even though my sleep wasn't that deep, when I woke up my weight was down another 300 grams. So my January weight goal is certainly within reach. I just have to get to bed early and make sure that I get at least 300mg of Magnesium that day. 600 mg is better though.

Getting to bed early is also important because even though I tend to not sleep in (sleeping in = getting up after 10AM), I will have to get up 2 hours earlier in about a month, so I have to shift my sleeping time accordingly. This should get interesting, I will stay at a dormitory of my company for the first months (until I have found my new studio) and I always have had a different wake/sleep cycle than other students (going to bed relatively early, can be pretty annoying).

So, for the next month I train myself to get to bed early (10PM) and drink lots of magnesium (600mg), so that I fit into my old trousers and suits easily when I start at my new company. And I will keep my insulin levels on a low level, no spikes allowed. This should get interesting.

The weather is back to crap again, it can't decide between rain and snow and the temperatures are around the freezing point. So running is no possibility, but I do my stretching and some other routines.

Funny thing happened the other evening, when I layed down to read a bit before turning off the light and I layed on the side my legs felt weird. It took me a minute to realizes what was the weird thing, it was the fact that my legs layed bone on bone. I haven't had this in years! And my calves look like I've got tons of muscles and strength. They were always quite strong and now they look like it again, more and more definition. I love this.

KEEP MOVING FORWARD!

Paleo food works and

sorting out too! I've sorted out tons of paper, socks, underwear (ahem) and CDs (63 in the first fast going through, and my racks are still not containing all of them. I guess thats why I don't have the money for a race bike or car or ... (fill in what you'd like).).

Anyway, I cut out dairy products yesterday and today my skin is a LOT better. Bloody Hell! This means no cheese anymore or hot chocolate with Baileys (not good anyway because alcohol sponges your magnesium out (is "sponging out" the right expression?)). This whole drink a glass of red wine everyday is just flapdoodle (hah, my new favourite english word "flapdoodle") to make you buy more wine! (And magnesium supplements and Aspirin afterwards to battle the hangover.)

Today I have to run / march 12 k and it rains! BUGGER!! First I have to write my applications though.

Mampf - Diary, Monday:
BF: 300 ml protein shake chocolate with water instead of milk, 1 sliced apple
Lunch: 1 Dream Apple (Cinnamon is good for your blood sugar. If you want to reduce it, take cinnamon.)
Dinner: Tossed salad with a red bell pepper and baked salmon, 1 Dream Apple
Snacks: 1 Banana, dark chocolate, a bag of nuts (50g)

Keep Running!

Swing is even better than Rock for running!

Good morning.

I'm just back from my run. I ran with swing, since I've got swing-fever. ;-) And I really enjoyed it this way. The rhythm is better suited for running and the lyrics are funny, so instead of going ever faster to get it over with(no, I don't really enjoy the runs at the moment) I like to hear the stories. It's fun this way.

Anyway, here are todays stats:
running time: 11:30 min (the route was about 400 m longer)
in zone: 6:17 min (much better than monday)
ave heartrate: 162 bpm (needs no comment)

I did have some pain in my left shoulder, which means I have to move it more often and drink some magnesium. Other than that, no problems so far and no sore leg muscles.

Have fun.
